In Garden City, popular practices book routine cleanings weeks ahead, so call early or ask to be put on a cancellation list; emergency and walk-in clinics are the exception. Across New York, a new-patient exam with X-rays and a cleaning typically runs from about $150 to $350 without insurance, and many offices publish new-patient specials on their websites. Check the listing for hours, whether the office takes your insurance or Medicaid, languages spoken, wheelchair access and parking, then confirm by phone: insurance networks and providers change more often than the listings do.

Brought my Godson and his sister in for a routine checkup and cleaning and had a wonderful experience. The hygienist was thorough and very child friendly. The doctor explained everything in detail and spent time talking with each child. They love coming here!

The dental hygienist and dentist were so kind and gentle with my daughter. They were all very friendly. This office has gone out of their way to accommodate appointments for my daughters before. I very much recommend them!

I took my 4-year-old daughter here to have work done on a cavity in one of her back molars, and unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. The dental assistant was extremely rude and unprofessional. She appeared to be rushing the entire process and showed very little patience, which is concerning in a pediatric setting. At one point, while I was trying to soothe my overwhelmed and frightened daughter, I was told to hurry up and finish my paperwork. It did not feel like a supportive or child-friendly environment. My daughter became so overwhelmed during the procedure that we had to physically hold her down. Midway through, the dentist informed us she could no longer complete the procedure, despite there being a hole in my daughterβs tooth. A temporary filling β similar to what can be purchased over the counter was placed instead. We were seen by Dr. Rodriguez, who was kind and polite, and I appreciate her demeanor. However, the overall experience felt unprofessional and not well-handled, especially for a 4-year-old child needing reassurance and patience. If you are unsure how your child (especially ages 5 and under) may respond during dental procedures, I would recomm

Everything went well. Our dental hygienist, Marie, was great. However the dentist didn't seem too informative about certain things I was concerned about. Other than that, I love Pediatric dentistry of Nassau County. Hard to book appts with them, but other than that, they're great. Always very helpful on the phone but unfortunately hard to book around my schedule. Wish they'd open on the weekends more often. The Saturday schedule is always booked for months and months.

I have been bringing my oldest since he was 2 and now he's 9; and now my youngestas well. The staff is great. Always patient and kind. I love the atmosphere and that they have screens to distract the kids while being examined. The hygienists there are sweet and always explain to my kids what they are doing so they aren't scared.
